Most of our students book a one-off lesson and then go on to book in for weekly term-time lessons which provides continuity, a regular time slot and a discount on the cost of a single lesson.

Do you offer tasters?

Many of our students initially book a taster lesson as it gives an opportunity to meet the teacher, discuss objectives and genre of music before committing to weekly term-time lessons.

Prices for individual and small group taster lessons can be found in the one off lesson section at Pricing & Payment.

For our groups, the first session is on a "pay if you stay" where there is no charge if participants decide not to continue after the first week.

How can I secure a regular lesson time?

The vast majority of students book in for weekly term-time lessons which provides continuity, a discount on the cost of a single lesson and provides a regular lesson time.

We will work with you to find a suitable time which can sometimes mean starting lessons on a particular day and time whilst we waitlist you for your preferred times.

How can I book a make up lesson?

For students who have  individual weekly term-time lessons who are unable to make the lesson due to holiday or a school/business event, we do our level best to make up the lesson within the term.

Whilst we cannot guarantee this, the more notice given helps us to try to provide a suitable alternative.

We book make up lessons up to ten days in advance and a make up lesson can be rescheduled provided that we receive at least 48 hours notice.

We can reschedule other individual lessons ( e.g taster lessons, one-off lessons) provided that we receive at least 48 hours notice.

Do you send lesson reminders?

We send automated email reminders of lessons three days before your lesson. For example, an email reminder is sent on a Monday for a lesson booked in for a Thursday.

If you do not receive a reminder, please check your junk mail before contacting us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

How soon in advance can I book?

We take bookings for one-off lessons up to ten days in advance. Students who book in for weekly term-time individual or small group lessons are booked in for the term and will be booked in for the next term unless they have have provided four weeks notice before the end of term.

Pricing & Payment

Where can I find your prices?

Our prices can be found at Pricing and Payment where you can select on the basis of length of lesson or session and whether you wish to pay for weekly term-time lessons in two instalments. We update our weekly term-time and group prices each term depending upon the number of weeks in the term.

We review our prices annually and notify our students more than four weeks prior to the end of the Summer Term of any changes which will come into effect on September 1st.

When do I need to pay?

Payment is due in advance though we do offer the ability to pay in two instalments for groups and weekly term-time lessons as long as payment is received before the first lesson or session of term.

We offer the facility for you to charge refreshments to your account. You can top up or settle your account via the Payment to account section at Pricing & Payment.

What opportunties are there to perform?

We provide the opportunity for our students to perform in from of family and friends twice each year. For some it provides the opportunity to play exam pieces and for others it is a goal in itself.

Do you provide progress reports?

We provide reports to parents of our school age students on a twice yearly basis setting out what has been covered and progress made since starting or the last report.

Cancellation & Notice

What is your cancellation policy?

One off individual and taster lessons can be rescheduled provided that we receive at least 48 hours notice.

Most of our students have regular weekly lessons and we do our level best to make up lessons missed due to sickness, holiday or school/business events. Whilst we cannot guarantee this, the more notice given helps us to try to provide an alternative.

We book make up lessons up to seven days in advance and apply the same cancellation policy to these lessons as to one off individual and taster lessons.

If a teacher is unavailable to take the lesson , we will offer an alternative teacher or an alternative time. If this does not suit the student, we will make a full refund for the lesson.

What happens if I miss an individual lesson?

For students who have weekly individual lessons who are unable to make the lesson due to holiday or a school/business event, we do our level best to make up the lesson within the term.

Whilst we cannot guarantee this, the more notice given helps us to try to provide a suitable alternative.

We book make up lessons up to seven days in advance and a make up lesson can be rescheduled provided that we receive at least 48 hours notice.

We can reschedule other individual lessons ( e.g taster lessons, one-off lessons) provided that we receive at least 48 hours notice.

What happens if I miss a small group lesson?

If all members of a small group are unable to make the lesson due to holiday or a school/business event, we do our level best to make up the lesson within the term.

We book make up lessons up to seven days in advance and a make up lesson can be rescheduled provided that we receive at least 48 hours notice.

If one student misses a lesson, then we do not make up the lesson as it has taken place without them.

What happens if I miss a group session?

If a student misses a session of one of our groups, we do not make up that session as it has taken place without them.

What happens if my teacher is unavailable for my lesson?

If your teacher is unavailable for your lesson we will either offer a lesson with another of our teachers or try to find a suitable alternative time and date for a lesson with your teacher.

We will refund you for the lesson if we are unable to find an alternative time and date that works for you.

Other

Do you teach adults?

We teach a large number of adults either in the day time or in the evening. Some are complete beginners and others are returning to an instrument learnt at school.

Do you teach in groups?

We teach individual and small group lessons. Our small groups are for a maximum of two to three students so that our teachers can work with the dynamism of a group without hindering progress.

Our small groups are usually formed of friends or siblings.

Do you have instruments to rent?

We rent out most instruments to our students on a termly basis. This is great way to get started and can be cost efficient for instruments that need to grow with the student.

Rental prices are dependent upon the particular instrument and range from as little as £2.00 per week.

Can you come to our home?

Our safeguarding policy precludes our teachers from teaching in your home.

What is your safe guarding policy?

We have a safeguarding code of conduct for our teachers and a procedure for reporting concerns.

We undertake an enhanced DBS check (previously known as CRB) for all of our teachers.

Can I get food or drink?

We proudly serve a range of Starbucks coffee, hot chocolate and Tazo teas, still and sparkling mineral water and fruit shoots. We also sell Starbucks biscuits and chocolate to meet the pangs of hunger.

Let us know if you are craving something more!

What is the Wi-fi code?

Just ask one of our reception team and they will let you know. Enjoy catching up on email, social media and the news over a Starbucks coffee or Tazo tea.
